What are Aligners and Invisalign?

Aligners and Invisalign are clear plastic trays that fit over your teeth and gradually shift them into the correct position. Invisalign is a specific brand of aligners that uses a series of customized trays to straighten teeth.

Both aligners and Invisalign offer a discreet and convenient way to straighten teeth without the look of traditional metal braces.

Caring after Aligners placement

Avoid using toothpaste, hot water, or mouthwash, as these can damage the trays.
Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and lukewarm water to gently brush the trays, both inside and out.
Use specialized cleaning products, such as Invisalign cleaning crystals or denture cleaner, to soak your trays once a day.
Mix equal parts warm water and hydrogen peroxide and let your trays soak in the solution for 30 minutes before rinsing them off.
Follow your orthodontist’s specific instructions for cleaning and caring for your aligners or Invisalign trays.

Fitting

Once your aligners or Invisalign trays are ready, we will fit them to your teeth and provide instructions on how to wear and care for them.

Follow-up

You will need to come in for follow-up appointments every few weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned and to receive new trays as needed.
